Soroptimist is an international organization established in 1921 for business and professional women who desire and work to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. Almost 95,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community and international based projects that benefit women across the globe.
Soroptimist International of Franklin was honored to win the Civic Group Award at the Franklin Tomorrow Exemplary Community Volunteer Awards on July 30, 2014 held at the Franklin Theatre!
We were recognized for the work we have done this past year, ranging from supporting Bridges Domestic Violence Center and scholarships for women to partnering with local charities and raising public awareness for human trafficking. We are all so honored to have been singled out among all the other organizations in Williamson County that contribute to our community in many admirable ways!
